Overview

Our client is looking for a skilled and dedicated Class 1 Moffett Driver to join their team. The ideal candidate will have expertise in Class 1 (HGV 1) driving and Moffett operations, ensuring safe and efficient transport and delivery of goods to their customers. Pay Rate and Shifts

• Payrate: £17.55 per hour
• Shifts Available: Start at 3:00 AM or 6:00 AM.
  • Candidates must be able to cover both shifts as required.

Responsibilities

As a Class 1 Moffett Driver, your key duties will include:

• Safely operating Class 1 (HGV 1) vehicles to transport goods to various locations.
• Utilising Moffett forklifts to load and unload goods efficiently at delivery or collection points.
• Conducting daily vehicle checks and ensuring all equipment is safe and operational.
• Adhering to all traffic laws, safety regulations, and company policies.
• Interacting with customers in a professional and friendly manner, representing the client positively.
• Completing delivery documentation accurately and on time.
• Reporting any vehicle or equipment issues promptly to the relevant team.

Qualifications

The ideal candidate will possess the following:

• Valid Class 1 (HGV 1) license with up-to-date CPC and Tachograph card.
• Proven experience using a Moffett (Moffett license is required).
• Ability to manage time effectively and deliver goods on schedule.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills, demonstrating professionalism with customers and colleagues.
• Flexibility to work various shifts, including weekends if required.

Day-to-Day

A typical day as a Class 1 Moffett Driver may include:

• Performing pre-journey vehicle inspections and ensuring necessary paperwork is complete.
• Safely navigating HGV vehicles through various road types and conditions.
• Loading and unloading goods at customer sites using the Moffett forklift.
• Handling any customer queries and maintaining excellent service standards.
• Liaising with the logistics team to address any issues or changes in delivery schedules.
• Logging working hours and deliveries in compliance with regulations.
• Performing post-shift vehicle checks and reporting any faults or maintenance needs.
