Responsibilities

As a valued member of our team, your responsibilities will include:

• Starting your day shift at 7:00 am, adhering to schedules.
• Working alongside a Driver's Mate who will assist you during deliveries.
• Completing deliveries safely and efficiently across designated routes.
• Representing the company with professionalism and courtesy to clients and colleagues.
• Accurately completing all required paperwork, vehicle checks, and compliance records to ensure safety and security.
• Upholding the highest safety standards during operations and on the road.

Qualifications

To thrive in this role, we are seeking candidates who possess the following qualifications and characteristics:

• A valid HGV Class 1 or Class 2 licence with a minimum of 3 years of driving experience.
• Valid CPC & Digital Tachograph card.
• Strong communication skills with a proactive, positive attitude.
• A commitment to punctuality, reliability, and maintaining safe work practices.
• Ability to work well within a team while demonstrating independence and accountability.

Day-to-Day

Here's what a typical day will look like as an HGV Driver in our company:

1. Begin your day at 7:00am, meeting your Driver's Mate and reviewing the day's delivery schedule.
2. Safely navigate your HGV vehicle, adhering to all traffic regulations and maintaining time-sensitive delivery windows.
3. Collaborate with your Driver's Mate to load, unload, and deliver products professionally and efficiently.
4. Conduct thorough vehicle inspections pre- and post-shift, completing all necessary checks and paperwork.
5. Provide excellent service, liaise with clients, and maintain the positive reputation of the company.
6. End your shift by ensuring your vehicle is clean and ready for the next day, reporting any issues to the operations team.
