Cleaning Operative

Overview

We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Cleaning Operative to join our team within a warehouse environment. This role is based in Great Sankey, Warrington, and offers a structured 3-days-on, 3-days-off shift pattern, working from 7:00 am to 7:00 pm. Responsibilities

As a Cleaning Operative, your primary duties will include:

• Performing routine cleaning tasks to maintain a clean and organised warehouse environment.
• Sweeping, mopping, and vacuuming floors using industrial cleaning equipment to ensure a safe and hygienic workspace.
• Cleaning and sanitising restrooms, break areas, and other communal spaces.
• Emptying bins and disposing of waste in accordance with company policies.
• Monitoring and replenishing cleaning supplies as needed.
• Reporting any maintenance or safety issues to the appropriate personnel.
• Adhering to health and safety regulations at all times.

Qualifications

To be successful in this role, you should possess the following:

• Previous experience in a cleaning or janitorial role within the industrial sector.
• Strong attention to detail and a commitment to high standards of cleanliness.
• Ability to work independently and manage time effectively.
• A proactive attitude and willingness to take on additional tasks as needed.
• Be able to perform physical and manual cleaning tasks for extended periods.
• Basic understanding of health and safety practices in a workplace setting.

Day-to-Day

Your typical day as a Cleaning Operative will involve:

• Starting your shift promptly at 7:00 am and receiving a briefing on the day's cleaning priorities.
• Carrying out scheduled cleaning tasks across designated areas of the warehouse.
• Ensuring all cleaning equipment is used and stored correctly.
• Completing end-of-shift checks to ensure all tasks are completed to a high standard.
• Logging any issues or incidents with the supervisor before finishing your shift at 7:00 pm.
