We at AM2PM are looking for a motivated and enthusiastic Trainee CNC Operator to join our client's dynamic team. This is an exciting opportunity for individuals passionate about craftsmanship, precision, and quality in CNC machining. While prior experience with wood CNC machines (e.g., SCM CNC) is advantageous, our client is open to training candidates with the right attitude, eagerness to learn, and commitment to excellence.

Working hours: Monday - Thursday 7am-4:30pm. Friday 7am-12pm.
Pay rate: NMW or more for any transferable skills or experience
Responsibilities
- Operate a CNC machine, including loading and unloading materials using a vacuum lifter.
- Read and input information from job sheets into the machine accurately.
- Select the correct size and finish of door planks as per the specifications.
- Conduct quality checks to ensure products adhere to company standards.
- Perform general machine maintenance, including cleaning and proper upkeep.
- Empty the extractor and ensure workspace cleanliness for a safe work environment.
- Liaise effectively with the office team to address documentation or paperwork queries.
Qualifications
Essential:
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to maintaining high-quality standards.
- Hardworking, reliable, and willing to build skills within a collaborative environment.
- Excellent communication skills and ability to interact with various internal departments.
Preferred (but not required):
- Experience with SCM CNC or similar woodworking CNC machining.
- Familiarity with operating vacuum lifting equipment.
- Prior experience in a manufacturing, machining, or woodworking role.

Day-to-Day
- Start your day by checking the job sheet details and setting up the CNC machine accordingly.
- Operate the vacuum lifter to manage materials efficiently, adhering to safe handling practices.
- Monitor the machining process, checking for accuracy and making necessary adjustments.
- Communicate updates or issues with the office team to ensure smooth workflow.
- End the day by cleaning the machine, emptying the extractor, and performing routine maintenance as needed.
