- Monday - Thursday: 9:00 am - 5:00 pm (45 mins lunch)
- Friday: 9:00 am - 4:00 pm (1-hour lunch)
- Flexible working arrangements: Start and finish times can be amended between 8:00 am and 10:00 am, and finish times between 4:00 pm and 6:00 pm.
Location: Hybrid working (Failsworth, Manchester)
- Office-based: Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday
- Remote working: Monday & Friday
Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and professional Customer Service Advisor to join the Operations department at a company based in Failsworth, the Manchester area. The company is behind some of the UK's most well-known consumer goods brands, serving a wide range of customers, including Amazon, major grocery chains high street retailers.
As a Customer Service Advisor, you will play a key role in ensuring our customers receive the highest level of service, from order placement to delivery. This is an exciting opportunity to join a dynamic team and contribute to the success of a company that values customer satisfaction and operational excellence.
This role is initially a temporary contract, which can lead to a permanent contract.
Responsibilities
As a Customer Service Advisor, your key responsibilities will include:
- Acting as the primary operational contact for customers, ensuring excellent service delivery.
- Managing customer orders, ensuring they are received correctly and entered into SAP.
- Resolving order-related issues such as pricing, availability, and timing.
- Coordinating delivery slots with customers and managing logistics between the distribution centre, hauliers, and customers.
- Collaborating with the Planning, Sales, and Transport teams to ensure timely and complete order fulfilment.
- Addressing and resolving any delivery disruptions or issues.
- Maintaining and updating systems to reflect customer requirements and timelines.
- Building strong relationships with customers to understand their needs and exceed their expectations.
Qualifications
To be successful in this role, you will need:
- Proven experience in a customer service or logistics coordination role.
- Strong organisational and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Previous experience in using SAP or similar systems for order management is desirable.
- Ability to work collaboratively with cross-functional teams.
- A customer-focused mindset with a commitment to delivering exceptional service.
- Attention to detail and the ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously.
Day-to-Day
Your typical day as a Customer Service Advisor will involve:
- Receiving and processing customer orders accurately in SAP.
- Liaising with customers to confirm delivery slots and address any queries.
- Coordinating with internal teams to ensure product availability and timely delivery.
- Monitoring deliveries and resolving any issues that may arise.
- Updating systems and maintaining accurate records of customer interactions.
- Communicating with customers to provide updates and ensure satisfaction.
