Job Overview

We are seeking a driven and dependable individual to join our client's team as a Factory Packer. This role involves packing steel tubes with precision, while ensuring high standards of quality and operational efficiency. You will be part of a dynamic and collaborative team, helping streamline the packaging process and working within safety and operational guidelines.

Pay Rate: £13.35 per hour
Shift Timings: Alternating shifts - Early Shift (6am - 2pm) and Late Shift (2pm - 10pm)

Key Responsibilities

As a Factory Packer, you will:

• Efficiently pack steel tubes in line with company specifications and quality standards.
• Perform Mair packing tasks with accuracy to prevent any damages to the products.
• Operate machinery such as milling machines and ensure they remain in optimal working condition.
• Safely handle steel products manually, adhering to proper manual handling protocols.
• Inspect packed products to ensure accuracy, quality, and readiness for distribution.
• Work collaboratively with the team to meet production goals and deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
• Follow health and safety regulations to ensure a safe work environment for all.
• Report equipment faults, inefficiencies, or quality concerns to the supervisor promptly.

Ideal Candidate Profile - Skills & Experience

To be successful in this role, you should have:

• Experience in steel or steel tube packaging/manufacturing - this is essential.
• Familiarity with Mair packing procedures and the ability to perform repetitive manual tasks effectively.
• Hands-on experience with operating machinery, particularly milling machines, is highly desirable.
• Exceptional attention to detail and a commitment to producing high-quality results.
• The ability to work well independently while contributing positively to a team environment.
• Flexibility and reliability to work alternating shifts.
• Physical stamina for manual labour tasks and the ability to stand for prolonged periods.
• A positive attitude and a commitment to fostering an inclusive work environment.
