Salary: £12.92ph - £15.12ph

Contract Type: Temporary to Permanent

We are seeking a skilled and reliable FLT Driver to join our team in Foston, Derbyshire. The ideal candidate will have proven experience operating a Counterbalance Forklift Truck and a strong commitment to maintaining safety and efficiency in the workplace. As an FLT Driver, your key responsibilities will include:

• Operating a Counterbalance Forklift Truck to safely load, unload, and transport goods.
• Ensuring the accurate and timely movement of stock and materials within the warehouse or production area.
• Conducting daily equipment checks to ensure the forklift is in safe working condition.
• Adhering to all health and safety regulations and company policies.
• Assisting with general warehouse duties as required, including stock control and inventory management.
• Collaborating with team members to ensure smooth and efficient operations.

To be successful in this role, you will need:

• A valid Counterbalance Forklift Truck (FLT) license (Desirable)
• Proven experience operating a Counterbalance FLT in a warehouse or industrial setting.
• A strong understanding of health and safety practices in the workplace.
• Good communication and teamwork skills.
• The ability to work efficiently under pressure and meet deadlines.
• Flexibility to adapt to changing priorities and tasks.

Your typical day as an FLT Driver will involve:

• Conducting pre-operational checks on the forklift to ensure safety and functionality.
• Loading and unloading goods from vehicles and moving them to designated storage areas - Please note this does involve working with alcohol.
• Organising and maintaining the warehouse to ensure a clean and efficient workspace.
• Collaborating with colleagues to fulfill orders and meet operational targets.
• Reporting any equipment faults or safety concerns to the appropriate personnel.
