Job Description: FLT Driver (VNA Certified)

Responsibilities

As an FLT Driver with a focus on Very Narrow Aisle (VNA) forklift operations, your primary duties will include:

• Operating VNA forklifts efficiently and safely within the warehouse environment.
• Transporting, stacking, and organizing products and materials in storage locations.
• Assisting with loading and unloading of goods for dispatch and delivery.
• Conducting pre-operational checks on forklifts and ensuring they are maintained in good working order.
• Adhering to company procedures, health & safety regulations, and warehouse guidelines at all times.
• Supporting general warehouse operations, including inventory management and cycle counting.
• Communicating effectively with team members and supervisors to ensure operational goals are met.

Qualifications

To be successful in this role, applicants should meet the following qualifications and attributes:

• Valid VNA forklift operator certification (essential).
• Proven experience as an FLT Driver, specifically with VNA forklifts in a busy warehouse or logistics setting.
• Strong adherence to health, safety, and operational compliance guidelines.
• Ability to work independently while maintaining excellent attention to detail.
• Physical fitness to handle repetitive lifting, loading/unloading, and extended periods of standing.
• Good communication and teamwork skills, with respect for diverse cultures and backgrounds.
• Flexibility to work various shifts, including evenings, weekends, or overtime (if required).

Day-to-day

A typical day in the life of a VNA-certified FLT Driver includes:

• Performing safety checks on your forklift and inspecting it before starting work.
• Efficiently navigating the warehouse using VNA forklifts to locate, pick, and move products.
• Collaborating with the warehouse and logistics team to ensure all orders are correctly prepared for dispatch.
• Safely stacking items in designated locations to optimize warehouse space.
• Reporting any issues, such as damaged goods or machinery malfunctions, to supervisors.
• Maintaining an organized and clean work environment to ensure safety and efficiency.

Shift Details

• Shift Schedule: Monday-Friday, rotating shifts (6:00 AM - 2:00 PM and 2:00 PM - 10:00 PM).

Pay Rate

• Pay: £13 per hour.
