Overview
We are seeking a motivated and experienced Food Production Team Leader for our client's facility in Bellshill. The ideal candidate will take ownership of overseeing production plans and ensuring the production line operates efficiently and in line with our standard operating procedures (SOPs). This role is critical to achieving excellent productivity and quality standards, as well as fostering a safe, inclusive, and collaborative working environment.
Position Details:
- Location: Bellshill
- Working Hours: Monday to Friday, 05:15 am to 13:45 pm
- Hourly Rate: £13.68 - £14.42 per hour (depending on experience)
- Overtime Pay:
- Over 38.35 hours: 1.5 x hourly rate (Monday to Saturday)
- Sunday: 2 x hourly rate

Responsibilities
As a Food Production Team Leader, you will:
- Oversee and implement daily production plans, ensuring smooth operation of the production line.
- Operate machinery and equipment in line with SOPs to maintain consistency and high-quality standards.
- Monitor productivity levels and identify areas for improvement in operations and workflows.
- Resolve production line issues promptly to avoid delays and disruptions.
- Train, mentor, and supervise new workers, cultivating a productive and inclusive team environment.
- Maintain accurate and detailed records, including production reports and equipment logs.
- Ensure strict adherence to industry regulations, safety standards, and company policies.
- Provide regular progress updates and comprehensive reports to the Production Manager.
- Stay up-to-date with training opportunities to enhance job knowledge and skillsets.
- Adhere to and promote health and safety policies in all operations to ensure a safe work environment.

Day-to-Day
- Plan and set up the production line to align with daily production goals.
- Monitor operations to ensure that all team members are meeting productivity targets.
- Check equipment and ensure machinery is functioning correctly throughout the shift.
- Address any technical or operational issues swiftly to avoid downtime.
- Conduct training sessions for new hires and support team development.
- Undertake regular quality control checks to maintain high production standards.
- Collaborate with the Production Manager to analyse performance and suggest improvements.
- Comply with all food hygiene, safety regulations, and company policies to ensure a safe environment.
