Overview

We are seeking a skilled and safety-conscious Forklift Driver with a Counterbalance certificate to join our team for a short-term opportunity in Paisley. The role involves night shift hours and offers competitive pay at £14.50 per hour. This position is ideal for individuals with prior forklift experience who are available to start on Sunday, 11th January

Pay Rate: £14.50 per hour
Shift: 9:00 PM to 6:30 AM

Responsibilities

  • Safely operate a Forklift with a Counterbalance license to support warehouse operations.
  • Load, unload, and transport materials within the premises.
  • Inspect forklift equipment for safety and maintenance before and after use.
  • Adhere to health, safety, and operational guidelines at all times.
  • Efficiently arrange goods and materials in the allocated areas.
  • Work as part of a team to ensure timely completion of assigned tasks.
  • Communicate effectively with supervisors and team members to report progress and flag potential issues.

Qualifications

  • Valid Counterbalance Forklift License is required.
  • Previous experience working as a Forklift Operator in a warehouse or industrial setting.
  • Strong commitment to health and safety regulations.
  • Ability to work a night shift schedule from 9:00 PM to 6:30 AM.
  • Reliable and punctual with excellent attention to detail.
  • Physically fit and able to handle tasks involving lifting or moving materials.
  • Positive attitude and ability to work collaboratively in a diverse team environment.

Day-to-Day

  • Begin your shift with a safety briefing and conduct a pre-use equipment inspection.
  • Operate the Forklift to load and unload goods from vehicles, ensuring proper handling and stacking.
  • Transport goods to designated storage areas and ensure proper organization.
  • Collaborate with the team to fulfill logistical requirements and meet deadlines.
  • Maintain a safe and clean work environment by adhering to health, safety, and housekeeping standards.
  • Record inventory or task updates, as required by the supervisor.
  • End the shift with post-use equipment checks and proper clock-out procedures.
