Pay: £13.50/hour (plus overtime at 1.5x after all shifts are completed)

Responsibilities Of A Forklift Driver

  • Operate Counterbalance and/or Reach Trucks safely and efficiently to support warehouse functions.
  • Pick and replenish stock accurately in line with daily targets and operational demands.
  • Adhere to all site health and safety (H&S) protocols and operational best practices.
  • Collaborate as part of a team to meet deadlines while contributing to a positive and inclusive work environment.
  • Perform routine equipment checks and report any operational issues or safety concerns.

Qualifications For A Forklift Driver

  • Valid Counterbalance or Reach Truck License (required).
  • Prior experience operating Counterbalance or Reach Trucks in a warehouse or distribution environment.
  • Strong knowledge of health and safety guidelines and procedures.
  • Physically fit and able to handle the demands of working in a busy distribution centre.
  • Punctual and reliable with an unwavering attention to detail.
  • Flexibility to work variable shifts and adapt in response to operational needs.
  • Works well independently as well as part of a diverse team environment.

Day-to-Day Responsibilities For The Forklift Driver

  • Navigating the warehouse to load, unload, and move materials using forklifts (Counterbalance and/or Reach).
  • Conducting pre-operational inspections of equipment to ensure safety and functionality.
  • Picking and replenishing stock accurately, based on delivery schedules or team requirements.
  • Maintaining a clean, organized, and safe work environment.
  • Actively participating in team huddles to discuss priorities and workflow.
  • Supporting general warehouse operations during non-peak forklift usage times.
