Hours:Choice of Mornings (6am til 2pm) or Afternoons (2pm til 10pm)
Pay: £12.21ph

Our Client is a leading provider of high-quality chemical products and solutions serving a range of industries. AM2PM are recruiting on their behalf for motivated General Operatives to support their ongoing growth.


Role Overview

As a General Operative, you will support day-to-day production, packaging, and warehouse operations to ensure that products are manufactured, filled, and dispatched safely, efficiently, and to the highest quality standards.


Key Responsibilities

  • Operate production, filling, and packaging machinery according to company procedures.

  • Assist with blending, mixing, and decanting of chemical products following strict safety guidelines.

  • Label, palletize, and prepare finished goods for dispatch.

  • Load and unload deliveries using appropriate equipment (e.g., pallet truck, forklift if licensed).

  • Maintain a clean and safe working environment in compliance with Health & Safety and environmental regulations.

  • Follow batch documentation, work instructions, and quality control checks.

  • Report any faults, safety concerns, or deviations to the Production Supervisor.

  • Participate in stock counts, inventory control, and general housekeeping.

  • Work effectively as part of a team to achieve daily production targets.


Essential Skills & Requirements

  • Previous experience in a manufacturing, production, or warehouse environment (preferably chemical or related industry).

  • Strong awareness of health, safety, and environmental procedures.

  • Ability to follow written and verbal instructions accurately.

  • Good communication and teamwork skills.

  • Physically fit and capable of manual handling.

  • Flexibility to work shifts or overtime as required.


Desirable Skills

  • Forklift licence (Counterbalance or Reach) - Higher rate for FLT Drivers

  • Experience handling hazardous materials or COSHH awareness.

  • Basic computer literacy (for batch reporting and data entry).
