# Job Advertisement: Class 1 Container Driver  

## **Overview**  
Are you an experienced Class 1 Container Driver looking for a rewarding and consistent role? We are currently recruiting skilled drivers to join our clients, well-established hauliers based in Coatbridge, Hillington, and Linwood. This is an excellent opportunity to secure regular, ongoing work with competitive pay rates and a supportive team environment.  

**Position:** Class 1 Container Driver  
**Pay Rate:** £17.00 to £20.00 per hour (PAYE)  
**Locations:** Coatbridge, Hillington, Linwood  
**Schedule:** Monday to Friday with weekend shifts available  
**Contract Type:** PAYE (Holiday Pay Accrued Separately - No Umbrella Companies)

## **Responsibilities**  
As a Class 1 Container Driver, your key responsibilities will include:  
- Delivering container loads to various locations across the UK.  
- Planning delivery routes efficiently to meet schedules.  
- Loading and unloading cargo, ensuring all loads are secured safely.  
- Conducting pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections to ensure roadworthiness.  
- Adhering to all relevant driving laws, regulations, and company policies.  
- Maintaining accurate records of deliveries, vehicle maintenance, and hours worked.

## **Qualifications**  
To be successful in this role, you must meet the following criteria:  
- Hold a valid Class 1 (C+E) driving licence.  
- Possess a valid Driver CPC card and Digital Tachograph card.  
- Have a maximum of 6 penalty points on your licence (no major endorsements).  
- Previous commercial driving experience is preferred, but new pass drivers are welcome to apply.  
- Strong understanding of UK driving laws and regulations.  
- Excellent time management and organisational skills.

## **Day-to-Day**  
Your typical day as a Class 1 Container Driver will involve:  
- Starting your shift at one of our client's depots in Coatbridge, Hillington, or Linwood.  
- Conducting vehicle checks before departure.  
- Transporting container loads to various destinations across the UK.  
- Communicating with the operations team to ensure smooth delivery schedules.  
- Completing all necessary paperwork and logging delivery details.  
- Returning to the depot and performing post-trip inspections.
