Key Responsibilities:

Cleaning Machinery and Equipment

• Perform thorough cleaning of equipment and machinery following standard operating procedures (SOPs).
• Regularly clean and maintain production areas, ensuring they meet stringent hygiene standards.
• Ensure all cleaning activities align with Food Safety and Quality Assurance standards.

Dismantling and Rebuilding Equipment and Machinery

• Safely dismantle and reassemble machinery for internal cleaning and maintenance.
• Perform inspections to ensure all components are reassembled correctly and functioning properly.
• Work closely with the maintenance team to identify any issues during equipment disassembly.

Using Correct Chemicals that Don't Lead to Any Risk to Food

• Utilize approved cleaning chemicals to safeguard food safety and ensure no risk of contamination.
• Ensure all chemicals are measured, stored, and used according to manufacturer guidelines.
• Follow all cleaning protocols to maintain hygiene without compromising safety.

Ensure COSHH Compliance

• Adhere to Control of Substances Hazardous to Health (COSHH) regulations, ensuring full compliance with all safety measures.
• Handle and store cleaning substances safely, ensuring the safety of yourself and team members.

Health and Safety Standards

• Maintain awareness of and compliance with health and safety practices, with a particular focus on avoiding workplace hazards.
• Reduce risks by following manual handling and safe working procedures at all times.

Skills and Attributes:

• Previous Experience in a Hygiene Role: Proven experience working in a hygiene or cleaning role is essential.
• Knowledge of Cleaning Materials: Strong understanding of various cleaning materials, chemicals, and their appropriate use.
• Manual Handling and Cleaning Equipment: Proficient in safe manual handling and working with specialized cleaning equipment.
• Avoiding Waste and Meeting Deadlines: Ability to work efficiently, avoid wastage, and meet strict deadlines.
