Overview

We are seeking a motivated and reliable Labourer to join our Bridlington based client in a fast-paced manufacturing environment. This is an excellent opportunity for a hard-working individual with a diverse skill set to contribute to our production process and learn new skills along the way. The ideal candidate will have experience in lifting, operating a counterbalance forklift, paint spraying, and manufacturing. Pay Rate: £14.25 per hour
Working Hours: Monday to Thursday, 7:00am - 5:00pm
Overtime Available: Optional overtime available on Fridays and Saturdays
Employment Type: Temp-to-perm basis

Responsibilities

  • Perform general labour duties, including lifting, carrying, and moving materials safely.
  • Operate a counterbalance forklift to transport materials and supplies within the facility in a safe manner.
  • Prepare, clean, and maintain equipment used in manufacturing and production processes.
  • Assist in paint spraying tasks, ensuring quality standards are met and adhering to safety protocols.
  • Collaborate with the manufacturing team to meet daily production targets and deadlines.
  • Follow company policies, safety guidelines, and operational procedures to maintain a safe working environment for all employees.
  • Perform routine maintenance checks on equipment and promptly report any issues to supervisors.
  • Support additional tasks as required, contributing to the smooth operation of the facility.

Qualifications

  • Proven experience in a manufacturing environment is required.
  • Ability to lift and move heavy objects safely, with training or certification in manual handling being an asset.
  • Valid counterbalance forklift licence with prior operating experience.
  • Experience in paint spraying, with knowledge of spray painting equipment and techniques.
  • Strong attention to detail and the ability to maintain accuracy in a fast-paced setting.
  • Effective teamwork and communication skills, with a willingness to collaborate with diverse team members.
  • A proactive, self-motivated approach with a strong work ethic and ability to adapt to changing priorities.
  • Commitment to health and safety practices within a manufacturing or production environment.

Day-to-Day

  • Safely operate a counterbalance forklift to move materials to designated areas.
  • Prepare materials and equipment required for manufacturing and paint spraying tasks.
  • Perform manual and mechanical lifting of goods, ensuring accuracy and efficiency.
  • Execute paint spraying duties with precision, maintaining high quality and consistency.
  • Conduct basic maintenance of tools and equipment to uphold safety standards.
  • Communicate effectively with colleagues and supervisors to address challenges, resolve issues, and ensure work progresses smoothly.
  • End your day by completing a final safety and cleanliness check of your workspace.
