Cold forming Rolling mill operator. Flat bed Machine. Tipton. Full time. 7am-4pm, early finish on a Friday. £13.50ph

Our client is looking for an experienced cold forming rolling mill operator to join their growing team. Full time role, Monday to Friday with an early finish on a Friday. Working for a well-established company based in Tipton.

Key Responsibilities:

• Operating cold forming Rolling Mills: Controlling machines that apply pressure to shape steel into the desired thickness, width, and shape.
• Adjusting Mill Settings: Regulating rollers, speeds, and temperatures to meet production specifications.
• Monitoring Steel Quality: Inspecting finished products for surface defects, thickness accuracy, and overall quality.
• Temperature Control: Ensuring steel is heated to the correct temperature before rolling.
• Equipment Maintenance: Conducting routine checks, lubrication, and minor repairs to prevent breakdowns.
• Safety Compliance: Following strict safety procedures, wearing protective gear, and ensuring a hazard-free work environment.

Required Skills:

• Experience with heavy industrial machinery
• Understanding of rolling mill processes and metallurgy
• Ability to read technical drawings and specifications
• Strong attention to detail
• Physical endurance for handling heavy materials
• Knowledge of safety regulations and procedures
