We are currently recruiting for Material Handler roles for our client based in Tamworth B79. Our client are a leading plastic injection moulding specialist who manufacture products for a number of different industries.
As a Material Handler, ensuring smooth material flow throughout the production process. This role focuses on manually handling raw materials and finished products, including lifting and loading bags of products into machines. Attention to safety, accuracy, and teamwork is essential in this fast-paced manufacturing environment.
Details:
- Hours of work: Monday to Friday 6am-2pm & 2pm - 10pm - please note this is a rotating shift so you must be able to work both shifts.
- Rate of pay is £12.87 per hour
- Overtime available based in production needs.
Role of a Material Handler:
- Manually unload incoming raw materials and accessories.
- Lift and load bags of products into production machines safely.
- Move materials and finished goods to the appropriate areas in the production line.
- Conduct basic inspections of materials to ensure they meet quality standards.
- Assist in maintaining an organized and clean work environment.
- Monitor production inventory and report shortages or issues to supervisors.
- Adhere to all safety procedures, including proper lifting techniques and PPE usage.
- Support other team members as required to meet production target
Requirements of a Material Handler
- Previous experience in manual material handling or warehouse/production work is preferred.
- Ability to lift heavy bags (up to 25kg) safely and consistently.
- Strong attention to detail and adherence to safety protocols.
- Physically fit and able to work in a standing and moving position for long periods.
- Good communication skills and the ability to work in a team.
