Overview
We are recruiting on behalf of our client for a motivated and dependable Multi-Drop Delivery Driver to join a dynamic and supportive team. In this role, you will be responsible for ensuring timely deliveries to valued customers, maintaining excellent customer service, and contributing to the smooth operations of the delivery network. This position is perfect for candidates with a 3.5-tonne driving license and an FLT License, who enjoy working in a fast-paced environment and take pride in precision and punctuality.

Pay Rate£12.21 per hour
Working Hours
Monday to Friday: 7:30 AM - 4:00 PM
Responsibilities
As a Multi-Drop Delivery Driver, you will:
- Safely operate a 3.5-tonne vehicle to complete daily assigned delivery routes.
- Accurately load, transport, and deliver goods to customers' locations.
- Verify delivery information with accuracy and handle customer inquiries in a professional and friendly manner.
- Comply with road safety regulations and company policies at all times.
- Assist with warehouse duties, including loading and unloading deliveries using an FLT (Forklift Truck) when necessary.
- Conduct vehicle pre- and post-trip inspections and inform the team of any maintenance needs.
- Maintain clear and timely communication with the logistics team and customers, ensuring transparency throughout the delivery process.
- Uphold the company's commitment to environmental sustainability by applying fuel-efficient driving techniques where applicable.
Qualifications
To be successful in this role, you should have:
- A valid 3.5-tonne driving license with a clean driving record.
- A current FLT (Forklift Truck) license (essential).
- Previous experience in multi-drop delivery or logistics is advantageous but not essential.
- Strong time management and organizational skills.
- The ability to lift and carry heavy items as required.
- Excellent communication and customer service skills.
- A proactive and adaptable attitude with a high level of attention to detail.
- Familiarity with GPS systems and basic navigation skills.
Day-to-Day
- Arrive at the depot to prepare and inspect the delivery vehicle and route schedule.
- Load the vehicle with goods using the FLT when required, ensuring proper weight distribution and adherence to safety protocols.
- Depart on your route, delivering items to multiple locations over the course of a workday.
- Communicate with customers to confirm deliveries and address any specific needs.
- Return to the depot at the end of the day, unloading any returns and completing end-of-day vehicle checks.
- Collaborate with the warehouse and operations team to support ongoing logistics needs.
