Friday: 06:00-12:00 / 12:00-18:00
Initial training will take place on day shifts (08:00-17:00) during the probationary period

We're proud to be supporting our client, a large manufacturer of home furnishings, in recruiting for a skilled Multiskilled Maintenance Engineer (Electrical Bias) to join their Hyde site. Reporting directly to the Facilities Manager, this is a hands-on, proactive role responsible for ensuring the smooth and efficient running of our production equipment and site services.
The role
You will be responsible for fault diagnosis, electrical and mechanical repairs and maintenance of machinery, including automated assembly cells, injection moulding machines and hydraulic presses.
Regular duties will include electrical installation work across the site, such as installing armoured cabling, lighting, and power supplies.
You will also be carrying out Planned Preventative Maintenance (PPM) activities for plant equipment and services and will be supporting and assisting with new equipment and plant installations.
The person
You will be a proactive, reliable engineer with a solid background in both electrical and mechanical maintenance within a manufacturing or production environment. You will be confident in identifying issues, recommending solutions and working collaboratively within a fast-paced, growing business.
You will be experienced in working on presses, injection moulding, assembly machines and conveyors, along with single and three-phase installations and panel wiring. In addition, you will be experienced in PLC and HMI fault finding.
- Time-served apprenticeship or equivalent
- Minimum NVQ Level 3 (or equivalent)
- Strong fault-finding and diagnostic skills
- 18th Edition Wiring Regulations (BS 7671)
