Payroll Officer Bilston
Day shift 8am - 16:00pm
Monday to Friday £12.21phr
6 months maternity cover period
AM2PM are currently recruiting for a tempoary payroll officer in the Bilston area, our client is a leading food production company that is looking for an experienced payroll officer to cover a 6 month period.
Full training is provided
Canteen and parking on site

Job duties
Payroll Management: Process accurate and timely weekly, bi-weekly, or monthly salaries, including overtime and deductions.
Compliance & Regulation: Ensure compliance with local, state, and federal payroll laws and prepare tax filings.
Employee Record Keeping: Maintain detailed employee records and address payroll inquiries to resolve discrepancies promptly.
System Improvements Recommend and implement payroll system updates to enhance efficiency and accuracy.
Reporting & Analysis: Prepare detailed payroll reports for management and support accounting and auditing processes.
Collaboration: Work closely with HR, Accounting, and Benefits teams to ensure payroll accuracy and alignment.
Key Skills & Qualifications
Proven experience as a Payroll Officer, Payroll Administrator, or a similar role.
Strong knowledge of payroll systems, legislation, and tax regulations.
Exceptional attention to detail and ability to meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
Proficiency in payroll software systems (e.g., ADP, Workday, or similar).
Strong problem-solving and multitasking skills.
Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
Demonstrated professionalism in handling confidential information.
Preferred Experience
Degree or diploma in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration, or related field.
Payroll certification (e.g., Certified Payroll Professional or equivalent) - a bonus!
