Hours of Work
Day shift, Morning shift, Afternoon shift and occasional Night shifts
Your normal hours of work are 37 hours per week, or such hours as are necessary to carry out your duties.
Day shift - Monday to Thursday - 8am-4pm, Friday 8am-3.20pm
Morning shift - Monday to Thursday -6am-2pm, Friday 6am-1.20pm
Afternoon shift - Monday to Thursday -2pm-10pm, Friday 1.20pm-8.40pm
Night shift -Monday to Thursday 10pm-6am, Sunday 10.30pm-6am
The role:
As an experienced production line manager, you will be responsible for managing the day-to-day duties of the team in a fast-paced environment. As the first point of contact for team members, you will be comfortable managing issuesaccordingly with a timely and consistent approach.
You will be used to working to KPI's to include daily/weekly production targets, absenteeism, quality output, on time delivery, housekeeping and health and safety. Duties will include:
- Cell manning, controlling and taking steps to counter the effects of absenteeism to ensure a prompt start at beginning of shift.
- Ensure job rotation as per agreement with manager and in line with skills matrix/Ops manual/Personal Training record and appropriate company systems.
- Ability to deputise for manager and actively participate in the daily Production Meeting.
- Regular communication with team regarding cell targets and achievements.
- Ability to supervise a team in any area of the factory with possible job rotation at short notice to suit business needs.
- Ability to hold investigations & conduct disciplinary interviews.
- Ensure Team work to process using Standard operating methods with the ability to prioritise work & people.
- Manage housekeeping standards as laid down by your manager & required expectations.
- Review tooling requirements for area and manage shortages accordingly.
- Actively seek process, quality and any other problems or potential problems then taking appropriate action to remove the risk.
- Look for opportunities to improve productivity & quality.
- Have the ability to problem solve.
- Have the capability to fully understand the quality requirements in all areas as per the company control plan.
- Understand and use the TPM system (total productive maintenance) and enforce TPM activities within their area and follow up actions.
- Ability to implement change.
- Ensure the prompt callout of maintenance team to all machine/equipment along with supporting maintenance in prioritising activities.
- To carry out work safely and in the interests of all employees in accordance with the EHS procedures manual and summarised in the EHS responsibilities matrix.
- PPE adherence
- Fully understands standard ops and associated risks within the local environment.
The person:
- You will have a minimum of 2 years' experience within a manufacturing environment and ideally in a supervisory role.
- Proven leadership skills.
- Be numerate literate and capable of effective communication at all levels across the business
- Good time management, prioritising and decision-making skills.
- An ability to work under pressure.
- A strong, proactive and enthusiastic team player with a "can do" approach.

- Computer literacy, comfortable with spread sheets and data analysis.
Shift Working
The Company is required to operate shifts compatible with customer requirements. All staff must be prepared to work any shift pattern that may be required to ensure that we provide an excellent service at all times. Shifts will be based around a 6-2, 2-10 and 10-6 shift rotation or anything deemed necessary to support the business needs as follows. The Company will endeavour to provide reasonable notice of a requirement to work shifts or change shift patterns.
