Working Hours

Monday to Friday, 6:00 AM - 3:00 PM

Responsibilities

• Perform MIG welding to assemble components and fabrications according to engineering specifications and customer requirements.
• Read and interpret technical blueprints, schematics, and drawings to execute precise welds.
• Conduct quality assurance checks to ensure all projects meet safety and industry standards.
• Operate and maintain welding tools and equipment in accordance with company guidelines to guarantee optimal performance and safety.
• Collaborate with team members and supervisors to meet production timelines and objectives.
• Follow and uphold all occupational health and safety regulations in the workplace.
• Identify equipment malfunctions or maintenance needs and communicate them effectively.
• Actively participate in process improvements to streamline production and increase efficiency.

Qualifications

• Proven experience as a Production MIG Welder or in a similar role.
• Proficiency in welding techniques with a focus on MIG welding; certifications are a plus.
• Ability to interpret engineering drawings and technical blueprints with precision.
• Solid understanding of metal fabrication processes and welding safety protocols.
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to producing high-quality work.
• Excellent teamwork and communication skills, with a collaborative mindset.
• Physical stamina and manual dexterity; ability to lift heavy materials and stand for extended periods.
• A commitment to fostering a safe, inclusive, and respectful workplace environment.

Day-to-Day

• Start your day by reviewing the day's production goals and calibrating welding equipment.
• Read and analyse technical drawings provided for the day's projects.
• Weld components with precision, ensuring all work adheres to company quality standards.
• Inspect and verify the quality of your welds during and after completion.
• Collaborate with your team and supervisor to troubleshoot production challenges.
• Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work area throughout the shift.
• Wrap up the day by performing routine maintenance on your equipment and documenting your progress.
