Job Description: Warehouse Operative PM - Liverpool, Speke L24

Overview

We are seeking enthusiastic and reliable Warehouse Operatives to join our team at a leading clothing brand warehouse in Liverpool, Speke L24. This role focuses on supporting the day-to-day operations of our warehouse team to ensure efficiency in handling goods in, goods out, picking, packing, and returns processes. You will play an integral role in maintaining a well-organized warehouse environment and delivering excellent service to our customers.

Responsibilities

  • Picking and Packing: Accurately pick items from stock locations and pack them according to company guidelines to ensure timely dispatch.
  • Goods In and Goods Out Operations: Assist in receiving incoming deliveries as well as preparing outgoing shipments.
  • Returns Processing: Inspect and process returned items to ensure they meet quality standards.
  • Stock Management: Help organize and maintain stock inventory, making sure stock is stored in the correct locations.
  • Quality Control: Perform quality checks and ensure all items meet company standards.
  • Maintain a clean, safe, and organized work environment adhering to all workplace health and safety protocols.
  • Communicate effectively with team members and supervisors to ensure operations run smoothly.

Shifts and Pay

  • Morning Shift: 6:00 AM - 2:30 PM - £12.21/hour
  • Afternoon Shift: 2:30 PM - 11:00 PM - £14.21/hour
  • Weekends: £14.21/hour
  • Shift Pattern: 5 out of 7 days, including weekends.

Qualifications

  • Experience: Previous experience in warehouse operations, specifically in picking, packing, returns processing, or goods-in/goods-out, is preferred but not essential. Training will be provided if required.
  • Skills:
    • Strong attention to detail and accuracy when picking and packing orders.
    • Ability to work as part of a diverse and collaborative team.
    • Good physical stamina, as the role may involve lifting, standing, and repetitive tasks.
  • Attributes:
    • Punctual, reliable, and self-motivated.
    • Willingness to learn and adapt in a fast-paced warehouse environment.

Day-to-Day

  • Start your shift by attending a team briefing to receive updates on daily targets and priorities.
  • Organize your work area and ensure you have everything you need for the shift ahead.
  • Participate in picking and packing orders, paying close attention to item details and invoices.
  • Process returns and restock items into inventory as required.
  • Collaborate with team members to resolve any issues or delays in the workflow.
  • Adhere to workplace safety measures, including proper handling of equipment and materials.
  • Engage with supervisors to flag any potential issues and suggest solutions.
