Overview

We are seeking an enthusiastic and reliable Warehouse Operative to join our dynamic team in Partick. 4 weeks work. 8am-5pm, Monday - Friday. You will play a pivotal role in ensuring our warehouse operations run smoothly and efficiently. Responsibilities

As a Warehouse Operative, you will:

• Unpacking containers.
• Load and Unload goods from delivery vehicles, using handling equipment where necessary.
• Conduct regular stock checks to ensure accurate inventory levels.
• Maintain a clean, organized, and safe workplace by adhering to company health and safety guidelines.
• Inspect goods for damage, defects, or inconsistencies to support quality control efforts.
• Collaborate with team members to ensure efficient operations and resolve challenges proactively.
• Report any discrepancies, damages, or operational issues to the Warehouse Supervisor.
• Operate warehouse equipment (e.g., pallet jacks, forklifts), with training provided if required.

Qualifications

Experience:

• Prior warehouse or logistics experience is preferred but not mandatory. Comprehensive training will be provided to suitable candidates.

Skills / Attributes:

• Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
• Physical ability to lift, stand, walk, and bend for extended periods.
• Effective verbal and written communication skills.
• A proactive and positive attitude with the ability to work well as part of a diverse and inclusive team.
• Adaptability to work during afternoon shifts, including occasional schedule changes.
• Some familiarity with health and safety practices in a warehouse setting (desirable, but not essential).

Day-to-day

What a day as a Warehouse Operative looks like:

1. Start your shift with a team briefing to identify daily goals and priorities.
2. Use the inventory system to check and prepare orders for timely dispatch.
3. Load and unload shipments, organizing products in designated areas.
4. Maintain a safe and tidy workspace by organizing stock and disposing of waste appropriately.
5. Identify and report any damaged products or operational issues to the supervisor.
6. Use warehouse management systems to log progress and completed tasks.
7. Stay engaged with team members to collaboratively achieve daily targets.
