Overview

We are seeking two dedicated and reliable Warehouse Operatives to join our team at our Widnes site. This is an exciting opportunity to work in a fast-paced environment, contributing to the efficient operation of our baler unit. The role involves manual handling, consistant lifting and feeding materials into machinery, and ensuring the highest standards of safety and quality. The role is workign either 6 am - 2 pm or 2 pm - 10 pm, Monday to Friday, paying £14.21 per hour, with an immediate start date.

Responsibilities

  • Operate the baler unit within a manufacturing environment
  • Manually lift rolls of fibre onto a frame that feeds into the baler unit.
  • Conduct inspections of fibre to ensure quality standards are met.
  • Prioritise safety and quality in all tasks.
  • Assist with loading and unloading as required.
  • Maintain a clean and organised workspace.

Qualifications

  • Previous experience in a manufacturing or warehouse environment doing loading is essential.
  • Forklift Truck (FLT) training is an advantage.
  • Strong commitment to safety and quality standards.
  • Ability to perform manual handling tasks.
  • Good attention to detail and ability to follow instructions.
  • Reliable transport to the Widnes site

Day-to-Day

  • Work shifts of either 6 am - 2 pm or 2 pm - 10 pm, Monday to Friday.
  • Initial training will involve shadowing current operators for two weeks on the 6 am - 2 pm shift.
  • After training, one operator will remain on the 6 am - 2 pm shift, and the other will transition to the 2 pm - 10 pm shift.
  • Operate the baler unit and ensure smooth processing of fibre.
  • Collaborate with team members to meet daily production targets.
