Responsibilities Of A Warehouse Operative

• Accurately pick, pack, and process orders to meet daily shipping targets.
• Load and unload goods from delivery vehicles, using handling equipment as required.
• Conduct regular stock checks to maintain accurate inventory levels.
• Keep the warehouse clean, organized, and safe by adhering to company health and safety regulations.
• Assist in quality control by inspecting goods for damages, defects, or inconsistencies.
• Support team members with tasks as needed to ensure efficient operations.
• Report any discrepancies, damages, or operational challenges to the Warehouse Supervisor promptly.
• Operate warehouse equipment such as pallet jacks or forklifts (training can be provided if required).

Qualifications For A Warehouse Operative

• Experience: Previous experience in a warehouse or logistics environment is preferred but not mandatory. Training will be provided.
• Skills: Strong attention to detail, organizational skills, and the ability to follow instructions accurately.
• Physical Fitness: Ability to perform physical tasks such as lifting, standing, and bending for prolonged periods.
• Communication: Effective verbal and written communication skills.
• Team Player: A positive attitude with the ability to work collaboratively with diverse team members.
• Flexibility: Availability to work during afternoon shifts and occasionally adapt to schedule changes when required.
• Familiarity with health and safety standards in a warehouse environment is a plus.

Day-to-day For A Warehouse Operative

• Begin the shift with a team briefing to review the day's goals and priorities.
• Check the inventory system and prepare orders for dispatch.
• Load or unload incoming and outgoing shipments.
• Keep the work area tidy by organizing products and disposing of waste materials appropriately.
• Address any issues with stock or equipment by escalating to the relevant department or supervisor.
• Log completed tasks and track progress using warehouse management systems.
• Collaborate with colleagues to ensure all scheduled activities are completed efficiently and on time.
