We are currently seeking a reliable and enthusiastic Warehouse Operative to join our team for a nightshift position. This opportunity is based in Livingston, working for a busy logistics company experiencing high demand during the festive season. The shift will take place on Saturday, 22nd November, with the potential to transition into a full-time position. The pay rate for the role is £12.21 per hour. Responsibilities For A Warehouse Operative

  • Efficiently and accurately pick, pack and label items as per company standards.
  • Assist with loading and unloading delivery vehicles.
  • Perform stock checks to ensure accurate inventory management.
  • Maintain a clean, safe, and organized warehouse environment.
  • Operate machinery (if trained) or manual handling equipment to move products safely.
  • Follow all company health and safety guidelines to ensure a safe working environment.
  • Collaborate with the team to meet deadlines and achieve targets during the busy season.

Qualifications For A Warehouse Operative

  • Essential:

    • Availability to work the nightshift starting at 2:00 AM and finishing at 10:00 AM on the specified date.

    • Physically fit, as this role involves lifting, carrying, and moving items.
  • Desirable:

    • Previous experience in a warehouse or logistics role (not essential as training will be provided).

Day-to-day

On a typical shift, you will:

  • Begin by attending a brief shift meeting where key updates and targets for the day will be discussed.
  • Organize and prepare your workstation, ensuring tools and equipment are ready for use.
  • Work diligently to process incoming and outgoing goods, ensuring quality checks are completed.
  • Liaise with the team and supervisors to prioritize high-demand or time-sensitive items.
  • Take short breaks as dictated by the shift to rest and recharge.
  • Finish the shift by ensuring your workstation is clean and ready for the next team.
