Overview
We are seeking an enthusiastic and reliable Warehouse Operative to join our dynamic and fast-paced team. Responsibilities
- Safely and efficiently operate PPT equipment and manual handling tools to move and arrange goods in the warehouse.
- Unload containers and ensure proper storage to maintain inventory organization.
- Conduct quality checks to ensure goods are received in proper condition and report any discrepancies to the relevant team.
- Assist in stock control, including counting, sorting, and preparing items for dispatch.
- Maintain a clean, safe, and organized warehouse environment, adhering to company health and safety guidelines.
- Collaborate with the team to meet daily targets and deadlines while fostering a positive and inclusive workplace culture.
- Follow all standard operating procedures to ensure compliance with company policies.
Qualifications
- Prior experience in warehouse operations, including unloading containers and stock control.
- Proficiency in operating a Powered Pallet Truck (PPT).
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail, ensuring the accurate handling and recording of stock.
- Physically fit and comfortable performing tasks that require repetitive movements and manual handling.
- Ability to work effectively in a team, respecting the diverse perspectives and contributions of all team members.
- Excellent communication skills to understand and follow instructions clearly.
- Flexibility to work various shifts and adapt to changing warehouse requirements.
Pay Rate
- £12.21 per hour
Working Hours
- 6am-2pm - Mon-Fri (pay rate-£12.21)
- 2pm-10pm - Mon-Fri (pay rate-£13.27)
- 10am-6pm - Wed-Sun (pay rate-Wed-Fri £12.21/ Sat-Sun £13.88)
Day-to-Day
- Begin your day with a team briefing to discuss the daily plan and objectives.
- Work collaboratively to unload containers, ensuring all goods are accounted for and damage-free.
- Safely transport items using the PPT equipment, following health and safety protocols.
- Organize and label stock in designated areas for easy access and retrieval.
- Contribute to the preparation of orders, ensuring correct items are packed and ready for dispatch.
- Provide support for stock checks and maintain accurate counts during inventory audits.
- Wrap up your day by ensuring the workspace is clean, organized, and ready for the next shift.
