Pay Rate
- £14.32 - £19.16 per hour (depending on shifts and experience).
Shift Times
- Rotating shifts:
- Morning shift: 6:00 AM – 2:00 PM
- Afternoon shift: 2:00 PM – 10:00 PM
Responsibilities
- Perform welding tasks to create high-quality, precision-engineered tube products.
- Read and interpret blueprints, specifications, and welding symbols to meet product requirements accurately.
- Inspect welds to assess and ensure quality compliance with manufacturing standards.
- Maintain a clean, safe, and organised workspace by adhering to safety protocols, regulations, and company policies.
- Collaborate with team members, supervisors, and engineers to troubleshoot and resolve welding or production issues.
- Perform regular maintenance on welding equipment to ensure it is in good working condition.
- Continuously strive to improve processes and efficiencies while maintaining high-quality standards.
Qualifications
- Proven experience as a welder in a manufacturing or industrial environment.
- Proficiency in welding techniques (MIG, TIG, or Stick Welding depending on the production requirement).
- Familiarity with reading and interpreting blueprints, drawings, and measurements.
- Strong attention to detail with excellent problem-solving abilities.
- Knowledge of safety procedures and the ability to consistently follow them.
- Vocational training or relevant welding certifications are highly desirable.
- Ability to work effectively in a team and under supervision.
- Willingness to learn and adapt to new technologies and methods.
Day-to-Day
- Set up and prepare tools and welding materials for daily production.
- Perform welding tasks accurately and efficiently in line with project specifications.
- Inspect finished products to ensure they meet quality standards and rectify any defects.
- Communicate with supervisors to address challenges or suggest potential improvements to the process.
- Follow safety regulations, identifying and managing risks pro actively.
- Maintain a positive and inclusive workplace atmosphere by supporting and respecting peers and colleagues.
