Job Summary:
As a Fabricator/Welder, you will play a key role in the manufacturing process, working on a variety of projects that require precision and skill. You will be responsible for fabricating and welding components for light and medium equipment, ensuring high-quality craftsmanship and adherence to technical specifications.
Key Responsibilities:
- Fabrication & Welding: Perform high-quality fabrication and welding work on various types of metal components.
- Reading Engineering Drawings: Interpret and work from technical drawings and blueprints to produce accurate parts.
- Material Handling: Work with a range of metals, ensuring proper selection and preparation before fabrication.
- Precision & Quality Control: Conduct careful and precise welding operations while adhering to tight tolerances and inspection standards.
- Equipment Operation: Utilize tools such as grinders, saws, welding machines, and press brakes to complete fabrication projects.

Requirements:
- Experience: Either apprentice-trained or hands-on experience in fabrication and welding.
- Technical Knowledge: Strong understanding of design techniques and principles used in precision technical drawings.
- Proficiency in Welding: Ability to perform MIG welding and stainless TIG welding as required with precision.
- Engineering Drawings: Ability to confidently read and interpret detailed blueprints and schematics.
- Fabrication Experience: Prior work with light, medium, and sheet metal is essential.
- Attention to Detail: High standard of workmanship, ensuring accuracy and quality in every task.

The Role
Partnering with the Operations Director to deliver the overall operational strategy, you will be responsible for:
Leading, coaching and supporting department managers across the UK and Ireland.
Setting milestones, monitor progress, and ensure targets are consistently achieved.
Fostering a culture of collaboration, motivation, and accountability across teams.
Translating opportunities from Business Development and Implementation into clear departmental strategies.
Building strong relationships across all internal teams and stakeholders.
Driving change initiatives, supporting teams through transitions with clarity and confidence.
Quickly and effectively resolving operational issues, including conflict resolution.
Ensuring systems and processes are effective, consistent, and adhered to across regions.

The Person
With proven experience leading large operational teams, you will be a strong communicator with the ability to influence, coach, and motivate at all levels. In addition, you will be financially astute with experience managing budgets and driving cost efficiencies and will be skilled in negotiation and supplier/contractor management. The ability to learn new systems is to be expected as is proficiency in Microsoft Excel and the full Microsoft Office suite.
A full clean driving licence, with flexibility to travel across the UK (and occasional visits to Ireland).

THE ROLE:
Are you seeking a Flexi/Bendi FLT Driver role in the Middleton area working Monday to Friday?
AM2PM is looking to recruit a Flexi/Bendi FLT Driver for an expanding manufacturing company with its global distribution centre based in Middleton. The role involves working independently loading and unloading trailers with drums and pallets, putting them away into racks, moving, sorting, and stacking pallets, and picking orders. The role is a temp-to-perm contract based on performance. This is a full-time contract, working Monday through Friday with a minimum of 37.5 hours per week.
THE PERSON:
Attention to detail and a keen interest in learning are important to be successful in driving the Flexi truck. Being reliable and committed to showing up and wanting to learn the processes and work towards the KPIs is also the key to being successful in this role.
An external Flexi/Bendi Licence or proof of an in-house Flexi licence is required to attend the assessment for the role.
