Food production was also a logical sector for AM2PM to have provided focus on, we all need to eat and the UK has a thriving food production industry. In the early days of AM2PM back in the early to mid 2000’s we supported some of the local food production businesses in and around the Midlands area. We quickly learned and understood the behaviours and needs of this sector, learning what works well and refining our services to be better suited and reactive to the marketplace. 

Food Production environments raised our game in expectation of cleanliness, protocols and legislation. Adopting the GLAA’s rules (Gangmasters and Labour Abuse Authority) www.GLA.gov.uk and obtaining their licence made sure we were legally able and aware of our commitments and responsibilities to people wanting to work in this field. 

The client environments in which we have supported are varied, from blending and mixing raw foods stuffs to packaging of finished products. At all stages of production cleanliness is of utmost importance, weights and measures are essential, recipes and mixtures clinically applied and the careful handling and storage of the produce requires efficient and careful consideration.

Health & safety

Manufacturing equipment is treated as if it were in a medical environment, often complex and requiring conscientious users to safely navigate them to help avoid contaminations, leaks and malfunctions. Health & safety is a belief and a daily practice in such environments.
