We are looking to hire a Canteen Chef who is hard-working, enthusiastic and can start immediatley.
Working hours:
Monday to Friday 0700 – 1400 hours
Pay Rate:
£15.00 per hour.
Main duties are Breakfast and Dinner meals:
Producing all dishes to the agreed company standards and specifications. Assisting with the preparation of Breakfast and Staff Canteen food. Ensuring that all equipment, utensils and working areas are always kept clean and in good working order.
Other duties include:
• Assisting in the food preparation process
• Cooking and preparing dishes
• Preparing vegetables, meats, and fish
• Assisting other Chefs
• Helping with deliveries and restocking
• Assisting with stock rotation/cleaning stations
• Contributing to maintaining kitchen and food safety standards.
Requirements:
• Competent level of English spoken and written
• Experience with kitchen equipment
• High level of attention to detail
• Understanding of health and safety
• Understanding of basic food hygiene practices
