Our client is a part of a large international group. They specialise in machining brake parts for the motor sports ranging from Formula 1 to Nascar racing.
This a small close knit team of 20 staff who work really well together within this niche sector. The environment is one of heavy machining to produce precision cutting using CMM and CNC programs.
The Role
As part of the quality inspection team, you will be responsible for ensuring that the process controls for quality are engineered to ISO 9001 standard and to the customers specific requirements, based on feasibility analysis and PFMEA results.
Putting quality processes in place and operating as specified and ensuring that the work environment is clean using the 5S approach.
Conducting quality inspections at all stages of production versus the design specifications are carried out.
This is a very hands-on role which requires flexibility and team work as well as the desire to continuously improve quality. Great communication is key as are soft skills to be able to communicate at all levels.
The Person
You will have a min of 2 years experiencing within quality and hold a HNC certificate
Have experience within an automotive field particularly within machined components.
Have CMM programming experience using QCT software on and offline.
You will be able to interpret drawings and understand geometric dimensions and tolerances.
Be able to use measuring equipment including micrometers, calipers and protractors.
Have a good knowledge of ISO 9001.
