Forklift Driver – Automotive Manufacturing – £12.01ph – Potential Temp to Perm
We are recruiting for a Forklift Driver in the automotive manufacturing sector. You will be working at our client’s facility, a leading company specializing in the production of high-quality interior systems for renowned automobile brands. As part of a global group, they provide a dynamic work environment promoting innovation, quality, and customer satisfaction.
Requirements of a Forklift Driver:
You will need the following:
- Counterbalance & Reach forklift license/certification is essential, preferably in date.
- Proven experience operating a counterbalance forklift in a warehouse or production environment.
- Good understanding of health and safety regulations related to forklift operations.
- Ability to work well within a team and collaborate effectively.
- Flexible with working hours and available for overtime as required.
Details:
- Pay rate: £12.01 per hour
- Location: Scunthorpe
- Hours of work: Monday – Friday, 8-hour shift rota pattern or days/nights (6am-2pm, 2pm-10pm, 10pm-6am)
- Duration: Ongoing assignment with potential for permanent employment
Role of a Forklift Driver:
- Operate a counterbalance forklift to safely and efficiently move and stack materials within the warehouse.
- Load and unload goods from vehicles, ensuring proper handling and storage.
- Conduct regular checks on the forklift to ensure it is in good working condition and report any maintenance or repair needs.
- Assist with general warehouse duties, including picking and packing orders, stock replenishment, and maintaining inventory accuracy.
- Collaborate with team members to meet productivity targets and ensure smooth operations.
- Follow standard operating procedures and maintain cleanliness and organization in the warehouse.
