Class 2 Driver
Overview:
Driving up to 18t Class 2 vehicle delivering medical products to Hospitals, converted Industrial units, wholesalers and suppliers and collecting returns.
45 hours per week (average)
Monday-Friday starting time of 3:00am which can be earlier or later depending on the route
Roles & Responsilbities:
Safely and efficiently operate a truck to transport goods and materials to designated locations
Secondly, Perform pre-trip and post-trip inspections of the vehicle to ensure it is in good working condition
Thirdly, Load and unload cargo using appropriate equipment and secure it properly for transportation
Fourth, Follow all traffic laws, regulations, and company policies while on the road
Fifth, Maintain accurate records of deliveries, including mileage, fuel usage, and any incidents or delays
Lastly, Communicate with dispatchers, customers, and other team members to coordinate delivery schedules and address any issues that may arise
Skills & Requirements:
– Valid commercial driver’s license
Proven experience as a truck driver or delivery driver
Knowledge of flatbed trucks and experience with flatbed deliveries is preferred
Excellent driving skills and the ability to navigate various road conditions
Strong attention to detail and a commitment to safety protocols
Ability to lift heavy objects and perform physical tasks related to loading and unloading cargo
Good communication skills and the ability to work well -independently as well as part of a team
Needs to be confident delivering to London
Between 2-3 drops a day
You must be comfortable loading your own vehicles
Salary, Benefits & Hours:
The salary for this job is £32,900 per year.
